–CBS has the doubleheader game on New Year’s Eve but the best game is at 1 p.m – Miami at Baltimore. The 12-3 Ravens, coming off their big win over the 49ers, can wrap up the top seed in the AFC with a victory while 11-4 Miami can wrap up the division title over Buffalo with a win. CBS has four other 1 p.m. games that will be shown in local markets as the Ravens-Dolphins game will be shown in most of the country.
–CBS has the doubleheader game with Cincinnati at Kansas City and the Chargers at Denver. The Bengas-Chiefs game will be shown in the eastern half of the country and on the West Coast except for Southern California. The 9-5 Chiefs hope to bounce back after their poor showing against the Raiders. They have a three game lead in their division over the Raiders and Broncos.
–There will be no Monday night game because it is New Yyear’s Day which has been a college day forever. The prime time games are the Jets at Cleveland Thursday night, the Lions at Dallas Saturday night and the Packers at Minnesota Sunday night. The Cowboys need a win to catch the Eages if the Eagles stumble against Airzona. The Eagles are 10-4 and the Cowboys are 10-5.
–The Ravens host Carolina with the status of quarterback Trevor Lawrence still up in the air after he suffered a shoulder injury last week. If the Jaguars beat the Panthers and Titans in their final two games, they beat out the Texans and Colts for the division title. The Jaguars have lost four in a row. Houston hosts Tennessee and Colts host the Raiders. If both the Texans and Colts win, the winner of their game next week can win the division if the Jaguars lose one of their last two.
–The New Orleans at the Bucs and Falcons at the Bears games will have major ramifications in the NFC South.. The Bucs are 8-7 while the Saints and Falcons are 7-8.
