There are five unbeaten teams going into the fourth weekend of the season, but at least one will lose since Kansas City plays at Las Vegas, who are both 3-0, in a CBS doubleheader game shown to the eastern half of the country except in Dallas.
The Raiders are the underdog against the Chiefs, who are favored by 4.5 points. The other three unbeaten teams are Minnesota, San Francisco and the Bills. Those three unbeatens are are favored against Miami, Denver and New England, respectively. The 49ers are favored by only 2.5 points at home, so the Broncos have a good chance to pull off an upset. The Bills are favored by a touchdown over the struggling Patriots as Drake Maye is still trying to recapture his form of last year. The Vikings are the popular choice in the elimination pools as a 10.5-point favorite over Miami.
–There will be four games Sunday for most fans starting with the Colts playing the Commanders in London at 9:30 a.m. Eastern time. They are both 1-2 and both posted their first wins last week. The Colts are a 3.5-point favorite. The surprising thing about this game is that the NFL was forced to slash ticket prices because they weren’t selling well. Maybe the novelty of NFL games is wearing off in London.
The day ends with the 2-1 Lions at the 1-2 Panthers, with the Lions favored by 3.5 points in the Sunday night NBC game.
–The Monday night game pits Atlanta at the Saints, with both teams at 1-2. This is the second of three primetime games in a row for the Falcons, who upset the Packers last Thursday night for their first victory. The return of Michael Penix Jr. made a difference for the Falcons. The Saints are a 2.5-point choice at home.
–Besides New England at Buffalo, CBS has three other early games with Arizona at the Giants, Jacksonville at Cincinnati and Tennessee at Baltimore. The Ravens — who are 2-1 after a gift from the Cowboys, who managed to lose in regulation after kicking a game tying field goal with seven seconds left —are popular in the elimination pools. They are an 11.5-point favorite.
Jameis Winston makes his second start in place of injured Jaxson Dart for the Giants, but they are 2.5-point underdogs at home against the Cardinals. Winston put just 12 points on the board against Tennessee last week but won because Cam Ward threw a late pick in the end zone.
Jacksonville at Cincinnati is one of the best matchups of the day with Trevor Lawrence dueling Joe Burrow. Both teams are 2-1, but the Bengals are coming off a 30-27 loss to the Steelers while the Jaguars routed New England last week. The Bengals are favored at home by 2.5 points.
–Besides the Chiefs-Raiders and Broncos-49ers games, the other late CBS game has 2-1 Seattle hosting the winless Chargers. The defending champion Seahawks suffered their first loss last week to the Commanders, 33-31.
–FOX has four early games and the best matchup is the Rams at Philadelphia. The Rams are 1-2 even though they were a preseason favorite to win the Super Bowl. But the first loss came in Australia when coach Sean McVay decided to fly in the day before to face a well rested 49ers team that spent a week there. And they lost last week when a late interception that would likely have clinched the win against the Broncos was nullified by an interception that the league admitted was a bad call. The Eagles are 2-1 and 3.5 underdogs at home. Win or lose, the Eagles tend to play ugly games this year.
–Houston is favored by three over Dallas even though the Texans are 0-3 and Green Bay is a 3.5-point choice over Tampa Bay, which lost Baker Mayfield last week with a dislocated thumb. Jalon Daniels will start for the Bucs.
Chicago at 2-1 is a 3.5 point choice over the Jets although Ben Johnson won’t name his starter until Sunday. Veteran Case Keenum, who is their third stringer, played surprisingly well to beat the Eagles last week. He started for the first time since 2023 because Caleb Williams was injured and second teamer Tyson Bagent was recovering from a concussion. Bagent has been cleared to play and Johnson won’t say if he will play him or give Keenum another chance after his memorable game against the Eagles.
The only late FOX game is Miami at Minnesota, which will be followed mostly by fans who have the heavily favored Vikings in the elimination pools.
